In tissue testosterone is partly converted into DHT and estradiol while trenbolone is converted into weaker androgens. That is why it acts less androgenic and less estrogenic in tissue. In various animal species it increased muscle and bone mass and lowered body fat. There are no controlled trials in humans.

Yes, clearly. In a trial with five dose levels of testosterone enanthate over 20 weeks (the body's own production was switched off with medication) fat-free mass rose by 3.4, 5.2 and 7.9 kg in the three higher levels. Leg strength, muscle volume and haemoglobin rose with the testosterone level while fat mass and HDL cholesterol fell. Mood and PSA did not change clearly at any level.

In current users the 24-hour systolic blood pressure averaged 132 vs 124 mmHg and 51 percent had high blood pressure compared with 17 percent without steroids. Former users also had a stiffer aorta. In another study long-term users pumped less blood per heartbeat (ejection fraction 52 vs 63 percent) and had more plaque in the coronary arteries. A review of 49 studies with 1,467 athletes also describes unfavourable blood lipids and a thickened heart wall.

After stopping it took a median of 3.7 months until at least 20 million sperm per ml returned and 6.7 months until baseline. How long recovery takes after this blend has not been studied.

The HAARLEM study followed 100 men through a self-chosen cycle and one year. All reported at least one side effect, most often fluid retention (56 percent) and agitation (36 percent) during the cycle and lower libido afterwards (58 percent). Acne occurred in 28 percent and breast tissue growth in 19 percent. Four had a serious event. After one year the observed effects were back at baseline. Effects typical of trenbolone such as sleep problems or prolactin effects were not reported separately there.
