Knowledge

Everything about GHK-Cu + KPV Blend

Description

GHK-Cu + KPV Blend combines two short tripeptides with complementary research profiles in a single formulation. GHK-Cu (glycine-histidine-lysine complexed with a copper ion) is a copper tripeptide naturally found in human plasma, isolated in the early 1970s, with body concentrations that decline with age. KPV (lysine-proline-valine) is the C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH) and ranks among the best-characterized anti-inflammatory peptides in the literature. The blend therefore bundles a remodeling pathway and an anti-inflammatory pathway.

The two components act through distinct mechanisms. In preclinical and in vitro studies, GHK-Cu is associated with stimulation of collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis, modulation of metalloproteinases, promotion of angiogenesis and a broad shift in gene expression toward tissue repair. KPV instead intervenes primarily in inflammatory signaling cascades: in research models it suppresses activation of the transcription factor NF-kB and thereby reduces release of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-alpha and IL-6. A notable feature of KPV is that, despite its kinship to alpha-MSH, it shows no significant binding to the classical melanocortin receptors, with the effect described in research as intracellularly mediated.

Both tripeptides are short sequences with correspondingly short half-lives. GHK-Cu is sensitive to carboxypeptidases and is used in research both topically (especially in skin research) and subcutaneously. KPV is described in preclinical models via subcutaneous, topical and orally targeted formulations for local gut application. Combined use as a blend is newer and less well characterized than the individual tripeptides, whose standalone data are substantial.

In recovery, skin and anti-aging contexts, the blend covers two pathways that are closely interwoven in tissue regeneration: structural remodeling via GHK-Cu and dampening of the inflammatory component via KPV. You can order GHK-Cu + KPV Blend as a lyophilized peptide in 10-vial packs at 60 mg total peptide per vial, that is 50 mg GHK-Cu and 10 mg KPV. The substances are offered exclusively as research compounds for research and educational purposes.

Write to us, our team will help you.

Are there studies on the GHK-Cu + KPV Blend?

No. As of 26 October 2026 there is no study on the blend, neither on ClinicalTrials.gov nor in PubMed. The only paper naming both peptides is a review of tripeptides in wound healing without its own data on the blend. Only the single components have been studied.

Why these two peptides?

The idea is that the pathways complement each other: GHK-Cu on the side of building and collagen, KPV on the side of calming inflammation. This has not been tested. No study has examined whether the combination does more than either substance alone.

What is known about GHK-Cu in humans?

The best study is a randomised gel trial in diabetic foot ulcers: a median 98.5 percent of the wound area closed, versus 60.8 percent with vehicle gel. Other data come mainly from cosmetics. A recent review calls the clinical evidence sparse, there are no studies on injection.

What is known about KPV?

KPV enters gut and immune cells via the transporter PepT1 and inhibits the inflammation pathway NF-κB there even at nanomolar concentrations. In two colitis models in mice KPV in the drinking water reduced inflammation. In nanoparticles a 12,000-fold lower concentration was enough. In skin cells KPV triggered a calcium signal. There are no human studies.

Which side effects are known?

There are no data for the blend. In the GHK-Cu gel trial 7 percent of ulcers became infected, versus 34 percent with vehicle gel. Human safety data are missing for KPV and for GHK-Cu as an injection. A review of peptides in sport warns that robust safety data are missing for many of these substances.

Is the blend approved?

No. Neither the blend nor GHK-Cu or KPV is approved as a medicine (as of October 2026). ChEMBL lists GHK without a clinical phase and no trial of KPV is registered.
