  • The capsule combines two experimental metabolic compounds: the ERR agonist SLU-PP-332 and the mitochondrial uncoupler BAM15.910
  • SLU-PP-332 activates the nuclear receptors ERRα, ERRβ and ERRγ and triggered a gene programme in mice like after endurance exercise. The animals ran about 70 percent longer.21
  • BAM15 lets energy dissipate as heat in the mitochondria. Mice on a high-fat diet lost fat with it, without eating more or losing lean mass.56
  • There is not a single study on the combination. Whether the two complement each other, interfere or add up their risks has not been studied.78
  • There is no human study for either compound. Everything here is preclinical research, not a recommendation.7

What is the SLU-PP-332 + BAM15 Combo?

This combo combines two experimental metabolic compounds in one capsule: SLU-PP-332 (an ERR agonist, "exercise mimetic" candidate) and BAM15 (a mild mitochondrial uncoupler). You also find SLU-PP-332 individually in the lexicon. Both target increased energy expenditure.

Up front: both compounds are purely preclinical, there is no human data.

Comparison

Single or combined

The two components on their own and as a capsule, as stated in the TPD lexicon. Tap a card to open its entry.

Simplified: two targets in one capsule does not mean twice the effect. There is no study on the combination. 8

How it works

SLU-PP-332 activates ERR receptors and switches on programs tied to endurance and fat burning. BAM15 mildly uncouples the mitochondria so that more energy is released as heat instead of ATP, which raises expenditure. Together they are meant to boost metabolism.

Details on SLU-PP-332 are in its own lexicon entry.

Oral, one capsule with some water, rather during the day because of the activating effect.

What the research shows

SLU-PP-332 mildened metabolic syndrome in a mouse study (Billon, 2024). BAM15 is also known from preclinical metabolic research. For both there are no human studies, let alone for the fixed combination. This is clearly experimental, anyone needing proven dosing is at the wrong product.

Research status

Where the research stands

There is no study on the combination. The registry also lists no human trial on the components SLU-PP-332 and BAM15. As of 25 Oct 2026. 7

  1. Preclinical Cell and mouse studies on each component
  2. Phase 1 no registered trial
  3. Phase 2 no registered trial

Not approved, neither the combination nor any component. ChEMBL lists both compounds without a clinical phase.7

So far there is no registered trial in humans. 7

Side effects

  • Solid human data are missing for both components.
  • Mitochondrial uncouplers historically have a narrow safety window, so particular caution.
  • Start low and watch closely.

FAQ

Common questions about SLU-PP-332 + BAM15 Combo

Short answers, each backed by the sources below.

Are there studies on the combination?

No. As of 25 October 2026 there is no study on the combination of SLU-PP-332 and BAM15, neither on ClinicalTrials.gov nor in PubMed. Each component on its own has also only been studied in cells and mice.87

What does SLU-PP-332 do?

SLU-PP-332 activates the three nuclear receptors ERRα, ERRβ and ERRγ, most strongly ERRα. In mice it switched on genes like a training session, the share of endurance muscle fibres rose and the animals ran about 70 percent longer. In obese mice energy use rose, fat mass increased less and insulin action improved.21

What does BAM15 do?

BAM15 is a mitochondrial uncoupler: protons flow back past ATP synthase and the energy is lost as heat. Unlike DNP it does not act on the outer cell membrane in cell experiments. Mice on a high-fat diet weighed 15 percent less after 5 weeks, at the same food intake and with unchanged body temperature.65

Why exactly these two together?

Both raised energy use in mice, by different routes: SLU-PP-332 via genes for endurance and fat burning, BAM15 directly at the mitochondria. Whether this adds up in one capsule has not been tested anywhere. It is just as open whether side effects add up.158

Do the compounds work by mouth at all?

For BAM15 yes, at least in mice: 67 percent of an oral dose reached the blood and the half-life was 1.7 hours. In the endurance study SLU-PP-332 was injected into the abdominal cavity. There are no data on absorption in humans for either compound.52

Which side effects are known?

There are no solid data because neither compound has been tested in humans. In mice body temperature, liver and kidney markers stayed normal with BAM15. Mitochondrial uncouplers have historically had a narrow safety window and mouse data cannot rule that out.75

Glossary

Terms explained briefly

Dotted words in the text open these explanations directly.

Agonist
A substance that activates a receptor, like a key that fits and turns the lock.
ATP
The energy currency of the cell. Mitochondria make it from fat and sugar.
ERR
Estrogen-related receptors α, β and γ. Nuclear receptors that control genes for mitochondria, fat burning and endurance. They share only their lineage with oestrogen itself.
Exercise mimetic
A substance that mimics parts of the effects of exercise in the body without training. So far a research term.
Metabolic syndrome
A combination of belly fat, high blood lipids, high blood sugar and high blood pressure.
Mitochondria
Power plants of the cell. Inside them fat and sugar are turned into energy using oxygen.
Mitochondrial uncoupler
A substance that separates energy release in the mitochondria from ATP production. The energy is lost as heat.
Nuclear receptor
A receptor inside the cell that directly switches genes on or off once activated.
Preclinical
Research before first use in humans, in cell cultures and animal models. Results cannot be transferred directly to humans.
Type IIa fibres
Muscle fibres that are fast but still work with endurance because they have many mitochondria.
